Welcome to Myer Creek Park, a jointly owned community facility between the McLean County Fiscal Court and the City of Calhoun. We hope you enjoy your visit and ask that you review the following rules regarding use of the park. The intent of these rules is to ensure the highest level of public safety and accountability of public funds invested in the park. 

Reservations for a specific use of the park facility or organized events require a reservation request submitted to the Park Administrator, Bob Guenthner by calling 270-499-8775.​

1.   Park hours are from 6.00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. during Spring and Summer. Fall and winter hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
2.   All campers and RV's must be registered and assigned a space.​​​​​
3.   Open fires, except in grills or fire rings, are not permitted in any area of the park. Grills and fire rings installed may not be relocated to other areas. All state burning            laws apply year around. McLean County burning bans apply when in force.
4.   Alcohol or illegal drugs are prohibited within the park.
S.  Golf carts must stop and yield to pedestrians on paved roads as well as to hikers and those on
     horseback on the trails.
6.   All laws that would otherwise pertain to operation of a vehicle on public roads also apply to roads and trails in the park such a valid operator's license, registration,            and insurance.
7.   Children under the age of eighteen must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
8.   Personal four-wheelers, all-terrain vehicles, or trail bikes are prohibited in the park except for special events with prior approval of the park board.
9.   Fire arms are prohibited.
10. Hunting is prohibited.
11. Organizations that reserve the park and charge a fee, sell or collect money will be deemed special event and must have certificate of liability insurance of minimum            $1,000,000. They may also be required to register with the County Occupational Tax Administrator.
12. The 4-H Activities Building and associated pavilion is under the guidance of the McLean County 4-H Council. For reservation of those facilities, contact the                         Cooperative Extension Service at 270-273-3690.
13. Myer Creek Park is leased exclusively to the McLean County Fair Board and the Calhoun Lions Club for one week in either July or August each year. The exact dates          are agreed upon each year as the dates for the McLean County Fair are determined. 
14. Loud music or other noise disturbance is strictly prohibited between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 8.00 A.M. unless prior arrangements have been made for the event            and noted on the Reservation Request.
15. Fines of up to $500 may apply for littering. All trash generated by an event must be bagged and properly disposed of. No trash should be left on the ground or in the          barrels. The sanitary dump station is only for the use of campers and/or RV's that have paid a reservation fee.

16. A condition report of park facilities being used will be mutually agreed to prior to using the park. Damages to park facilities will be assessed and charged to the                  individual or organization responsible. (May be subject to prosecution)
17. All pets must be restrained by leash at all times. All pet waste must be picked up and disposed of in trash containers. No animals may be tied or otherwise restrained        to trees, fences, or other park structures.
18. The park adjoins several parcels of private property. These areas are off limits to the public and may result in charges of trespassing. Please stay within the                        designated boundary of the park.
19. Other activities may be taking place during your visit. Everyone is asked to be aware of stations that are set up to service these activities. Some may cause injury              such as tractor pull, archery range, and youth hunts sponsored by KY Fish and Wildlife. A usage schedule will be made available if you are reserving park facilities.
 20. Swimming in the lakes is prohibited. Boats are not allowed on the lakes.
 21. All fishing shall be catch and release
 22. A valid Coggins and/or health certificate is required of all livestock brought into the park.  
 23. Myer Creek Park Board reserves the right to refuse any event deemed inappropriate to be held at a community park.   
 24. Myer Creek Park is open to all individuals regardless of race, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.​
